GHARO was established in response to the growing need for effective and sustainable humanitarian action in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions. Recognizing that disasters, conflicts, and poverty often leave communities in cycles of vulnerability, GHARO was founded to not only provide immediate relief but also to empower communities to build resilience and self-reliance.
Over the years, GHARO has grown into a trusted organization, working in collaboration with local communities, governments, and international partners to deliver impactful programs. Our work spans multiple sectors, including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter, Education, Protection, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention, Emergency Response, and Resilience Building. We are committed to addressing both the symptoms and root causes of humanitarian crises, ensuring that our interventions lead to sustainable change.
